Gold Coast International Marine Expo and the iconic Marina Mirage shopping and dining destination have forged an innovative new external site partnership to enhance the city’s overall visitor experience from 19-22 May.
The collaboration establishes Marina Mirage at Main Beach as an official event site partner of ‘the boat show with so much more’ and enhances the city’s reputation as a true boating paradise for true boating enthusiasts.
Transport will be provided to and from the main Expo event site at Coomera and Marina Mirage in Main Beach, with visitors offered the choice of travelling between the two by shuttle bus, ferry or helicopter.
Event & Marketing Manager Emma Brown said the agreement is an exciting step forward for the Expo – which grew from humble beginnings to be named as 2015’s Best Exhibition at the prestigious Australian Event Awards.
“The partnership provides a new gateway to Expo for our interstate and international visitors and adds a premier shopping and dining destination in Marina Mirage,” she said.
“Visitors can now take advantage of transport links between Expo and our premium accommodation partners: Palazzo Versace in Main Beach, the Marriott Resort and QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise and Silvershore Apartments in Labrador.”
Mrs Brown said that – now in its sixth year – the Expo was pleased to offer free daily bus transfers from Marina Mirage, stopping in key locations en route to Expo, with the journey taking around 40 minutes.
“Guests can also enjoy champagne breakfast cruises to the Expo and sunset cruises back to Marina Mirage via ferry, or choose helicopter transfers between the event sites,” she said.

Mrs Brown said over 500 boats will be showcased across the Expo’s 3km display circuit from tenders to luxury motor yachts and on the water at the two Expo marinas at Coomera, and now also at Marina Mirage in Main Beach.
“That’s in addition to over 230 marine displays – right in the heart of Australia’s Boating Industry Capital: the Gold Coast Marine Precinct – featuring everything from tenders and jet skis to kayaks and fishing equipment, engines and a massive showcase of accessories,” she said.
“If you love boating, the Gold Coast is certainly the place to be from 19-22 May.”
Marina Mirage Marketing Manager Elke Bell said the shopping and dining precinct was looking forward to its best boat show season ever.
“We have an amazing four days planned here at Marina Mirage from luxury super yacht displays from our brokers to our winter fashion parade, live music, ladies days and much more,” she said.
“We look forward to a very successful weekend.”
