1. Where is the boat show?

The Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo is held at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, located just behind Dreamworld on Waterway Drive, Coomera, Queensland, Australia.

2. When is the boat show?

Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th March 2017

3. What are the boat show's opening hours?

Friday – 9.00am – 4.00pm
Saturday – 9.00am – 4.00pm
Sunday – 9.00am – 4.00pm

4. Where is the boat show office located?

The boat show office is located on the waterfront, directly beside the Riviera Restaurant within Riviera’s factory.

5. How much is entry per day for visitors?

DAILY ADMISSION
Adult General Admission – $15.00
*Children – Under 12 Free
**Student General Admission – $10.00
***Senior/Pensioner General Admission – $12.00

FAMILY PASS
Family Pass – $25.00

MULTIPLE DAY PASSES
2 Day Pass – $25.00 per adult
3 Day Pass – $30.00 per adult

Please note: All General Admission tickets are per person, per day and available for purchase online and at the gate.
All Family Passes are valid for 2 adults and 3 children under 12, per day.
All 2 Day and 3 Day Passes are per person and can be used on any of the three days, please ensure you bring your ticket each day.
*All children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
**A student card must be presented at the gate.
***A senior/pensioner card must be presented at the gate.

6. Can exhibitors pre-order visitor tickets for customers and VIP's?

Yes.

An exclusive visitor admission ticket offer is available for purchase by all 2017 exhibitors allowing all exhibitors to supply their customers with admission tickets prior to the event at a discounted rate of $45.00 + GST per pack, consisting of 5 one-day visitor passes.

These tickets are an exclusive offer for all 2017 exhibitors only and all tickets must be pre-purchased.

7. Where can I park?

We offer FREE on-site parking for all exhibitors with additional street parking also available.
An exhibitor car parking plan will be available early 2017

8. Where can I view the current layout of boat show?

A 2017 site map will be available late 2016.

In the mean time you can contact Andrew Mills on 0415 758 888 to discuss the boat show’s layout and your specific requirements in detail.

9. How can I promote my attendance at the boat show?

Contact Andrew today to receive a range of different marketing materials and event logos.

10. What time can I bump-in/out of my site?

A bump-in and bump-out schedule will be available one month prior to the boat show, which is customised to your exact requirements.

Andrew Mills will send this schedule through to the person nominated on your Application to Exhibit in early to mid February.

11. How are the marina berths charged?

Marina berths are charged as a set fee per foot (ft) and will vary depending upon the length overall (LOA) of the vessel.

Please note sea trail berths are charged differently, please refer to question 12.

12. What are the sea trial berths and how are they charged?

Sea Trial Berths offer an exclusive area for exhibitors to undertake sea trials during the boat show.

These spaces are limited and are based on a first to apply and pay basis

13. Is electricity included in my site fee?

No.

Electricity must be booked separately and is charged at a flat fee depending on whether your site is located on the hardstand or marina and on your specific requirements for all three days

14. If electricity is booked, when will my power be connected?

Electricity is not guaranteed until Friday 17th March at 8.00am and may not be connected prior.

15. Is Public Liability included in my site fee?

No.

All exhibitors must either supply a copy of their Certificate of Currency, nominating the Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo as an interested party (not a renewal notice or tax invoice) or be covered under the boat show’s coverage for an additional $190.00 excluding GST.

Please note: If a copy of your Certificate of Currency is NOT received in 2017, you will be covered under the boat show’s policy at a cost of $190.00 + GST, which will automatically be invoiced to your separately.

16. How many exhibitor passes do I receive?

The allocation of exhibitor passes is determined by your total spend at the boat show as outlined below:

$0.00 – $999.00 : Allocated 3 passes
$1,000.00 – $1,999.00 : Allocated 5 passes
$2,000.00 – $4,999.00 : Allocated 8 passes
$5,000.00 – $7,999.00 : Allocated 10 passes
$8,000.00 + : Allocated 12 passes

17. What do the exhibitor passes entitle me to?

Exhibitor passes are issued to all exhibitors for their staff working on their exhibition stand/vessel during the bump-in/out and during the boat show.

Access to the event site will only be given to those wearing a valid 2017 exhibitor pass

18. How do I receive my exhibitor passes?

Exhibitor passes will be packaged up within your Exhibitor Kit and distributed in February.

If you sign on after February 2017 your passes will be available for collection from the boat show office in the lead up to the boat show and during bump-in.

19. Can I order additional exhibitor passes for my staff?

Yes.

If required, exhibitors can purchase additional exhibitor passes for their staff working on their stand.

These passes must be pre-ordered to be packed up within the Exhibitor Kit sent mid February.

If passes are purchased after February 2017 your passes will be available for collection from the boat show office in the lead up to the boat show and during bump-in.

20. Is WIFI available at the venue?

No.

Unfortunately WIFI is not available so we recommend that all exhibitors bring their own internet connection to the boat show

21. How do I hire equipment for my site at the boat show?

All hire is organised directly through the boat show’s official hire company – Neal’s Event Hire.

22. Can I bring my own marquee?

Yes.

However for safety reasons all structures that are erected by exhibitors must be strictly weighed down with a minimum of 32kg solid concrete blocks, with 4 of these weights per leg (128kg per leg)

23. Can I hire a forklift to assist in bump-in/out?

Yes.

24. Is there security on-site?

Yes.

Security will be present on-site for the entire week of the boat show from Wednesday to Tuesday in 2017.

26. What is the boat show's cancellation policy?

Any cancellation by an exhibitor must be advised to the organising committee in writing.

Assessment of the cancellation penalties will be done on the day that the written advice of cancellation is received by the committee.

The committee reserves the right to re-sell the cancelled site.

Cancellation penalties are:

a) 50% of any monies paid to the boat show will be refunded if an exhibitor cancels within the period set out in the event specific terms and conditions under the heading: Cancellation Penalties.

b) If an exhibitor cancels within 14 days of the event, the full site fee plus a $200.00 administration fee will be due and payable in full immediately. If the cancellation includes display aids (carpet tiles, panelling, lighting, chairs etc) this will still be charged to the exhibitor. This is a liquidated debt claim for which the committee can sue, having reserved space, in reliance upon the exhibitor’s written commitment
