The Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo is not-for-profit, three-day, family-friendly event attracting exhibitors and visitors from across Australia and around the world.
In 2017, The Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo sees the dates of the award-winning Gold Coast International Marine Expo move forward to 17-19 March 2017.
Now the first major event of the 2017 Australian boat show season, the Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo will also be operated and managed with the support of the Boating Industry Association – Australia’s peak industry representative
The boat show is again staged within the facilities of Australia’s largest boat manufacturing plants and working shipyards. This ready-made venue provides the perfect location for the public to experience a behind-the-scenes view of the marine industry, bringing them even closer to our industry, in a highly memorable and interactive manner.
There is no other boat show in Australia like the Gold Coast International Boat Show & Marine Expo.
The boat show not only offers a wide range of exhibits from kayaks to super yachts, it also offers a comprehensive program of events including a variety of live technical demonstrations and attractions with something happening every 15 minutes over the three big days.
It has also provided a proven opportunity over the past six years for a wide range of marine businesses.
In total the boat show has welcomed over 110,000 visitors over the last six years with 2017 marking the seventh annual event.
In this time the boat show has also raised over $88,000 for our four local charities, which are the Rotary Club of Coomera River, Sailability Gold Coast, Westpac Surf Life Saving Helicopter Rescue Service, and the Ronald McDonald House Charity South East Queensland. All of these organisations assist with the logistics of staging such a massive event. Some 100 volunteers are involved in the boat show each year.

WHAT’S ON OFFER
ACTION PACKED EVENT PROGRAM
From 2017, the new March dates create further lead time for our exhibitors as existing boat owners can prepare for their coming summer – fresh in their minds are their considerations for repowering, replacing or upgrading their boat’s systems and accessories, or buying a new boat or yacht to further enhance their leisure time with their families next season.
For manufacturers, importers as well as accessories and service providers, the pre-winter campaign timing is a business imperative.
